Edit Observations — View Mode Visual Guide

The Edit Observations workspace can be used to review an inspection before entering Edit Mode.

Use the interface to review the inspection video, observations, observation images, and pipe plot.

Select a highlighted area of the interface to open the related help topic.

How to use the Visual Guide

Move your pointer over the interface.

When you hover over a clickable area, it will be highlighted in POSM orange. Select the highlighted control to open the detailed help topic.

View Mode and Edit Mode

You do not need to enter Edit Mode to review the inspection.

Select Begin Editing when you need to change observations or manage inspection video.

The interface changes after Edit Mode begins.

Begin Editing

Select the green Begin Editing button when you need to make changes to observations or inspection video.

After Edit Mode begins:

The blue Edit Headers button is available in both View Mode and Edit Mode.

Use it to review or correct inspection header information.

When Edit Headers is opened from Edit Observations, selecting Close in the Header Editor returns you to Edit Observations.

The Video selector appears below the video player.

When an inspection contains more than one available video, use the selector to choose the video you want to review.

The Video selector remains available after entering Edit Mode.

Each observation has a three-dot action menu.

While you are reviewing an inspection without entering Edit Mode, the available actions can include:

Editing actions become available after Begin Editing is selected.

The normal POSM Central navigation remains available while Edit Observations is in View Mode.

Use the left navigation to return to:

The navigation can also be expanded or collapsed.

When Begin Editing is selected, these navigation controls are hidden until Edit Mode ends.
