Edit Observations — Editing Mode Visual Guide

This visual guide shows the Edit Observations workspace while Edit Mode is active.

Select a highlighted area of the interface to open the related help topic.

How to use the Visual Guide

Move your pointer over the interface.

When you hover over a clickable area, it will be highlighted in POSM orange. Select the highlighted control to open the detailed help topic.

Editing Mode changes the workspace

After Begin Editing is selected, POSM Central enters Edit Mode.

While Edit Mode is active, the normal left-side navigation controls are hidden so you remain in the active inspection editing workflow.

Select End Editing when you are finished. The normal navigation controls return after Edit Mode ends.

Edit Headers remains available

Edit Headers remains available while Edit Mode is active.

This allows you to move to the Header Editor when inspection header information must be reviewed or corrected, then return to Edit Observations.

Editing Mode Controls

Add Observation

The orange + button is available after Edit Mode begins.

Use it to add a new inspection observation.

Edit Headers

The blue Edit Headers control remains available while you are editing observations.

Use it when header information needs to be reviewed or corrected.

When the Header Editor is opened from Edit Observations, selecting Close returns you to the Edit Observations workspace.

View or Edit Inspection Headers

End Editing

Select End Editing when all observation and video changes are complete.

Ending Edit Mode returns the observation workspace to its normal viewing state and restores the normal navigation controls.

Video Selector

The Video selector remains available while Edit Mode is active.

When an inspection contains more than one available video, use the selector to choose the video you want to review or work with.

Use Manage Videos to work with the inspection video associated with the session.

Observation Action Menu

Each observation includes an action menu.

Depending on the selected observation and current editing state, actions can include:

  • Jump To
  • Edit Observation
  • Add / Edit Images
  • Delete

Use the video controls to review the inspection recording and move to the location associated with an observation.
