Access Management Visual Guide

Use Access Management to manage users in your POSM Central organization.

Organization Administrators can search for users, add users, edit existing users, review inactive users, change roles, and activate or deactivate accounts.

Select a highlighted area of the interface to open the related help topic.

How to use the Visual Guide

Move your pointer over the interface.

When you hover over a clickable area, it will be highlighted in POSM orange. Select the highlighted control to open the detailed help topic.

Organization Administrator access

Access Management is available to Organization Administrators.


Search Users

Use Search Users to locate a user in the organization.

The user list displays information such as:

  • Full Name
  • Email
  • Organization
  • Role
  • Status

Show Inactive Users

Select Show Inactive to include inactive user accounts in the user list.

Inactive users remain associated with the organization but cannot use their account normally until they are activated again.

Activate or Deactivate Users


Add User

Select Add User to create a user for the organization.

When creating a user, provide the required account information and select the appropriate user role.

The user receives an invitation to complete account setup.

Edit a User

Select the Edit button beside a user to open the user's account settings.

Depending on the account and your permissions, you can manage information such as:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email
  • User role
  • Active status

Use the Active setting to deactivate or reactivate the account when needed.

User Roles

The Role column shows the POSM Central role assigned to each user.

Roles determine which POSM Central features and actions the user can access.

User Status

The Status column identifies whether the user account is currently active.

Select Show Inactive when you need to locate users who have been deactivated.


User List and Pagination

Use the controls at the bottom of the user list to move between pages when the organization contains more users than are currently displayed.

The items-per-page selector can be used to control how many users are displayed at one time.

Available choices may include:

  • 50
  • 100
  • 200
  • 300

Left Navigation

The normal POSM Central navigation remains available while using Access Management.

Use the left navigation to access:

  • Session Management
  • Access Management
  • User Settings
  • Go To GIS
  • Support

The navigation can also be expanded or collapsed.
