POSM at WWETT 2023: Server 2.0, Owl Vision & GIS Updates

A look back at the POSM technology shown at WWETT 2023, including POSM Server 2.0, Owl Vision 360° manhole inspection, MapReader improvements, HD camera integration, and expanding cloud and GIS workflows.

POSM at the 2023 WWETT Show

POSM Software exhibited at the 2023 WWETT Show in Indianapolis, giving customers and industry partners an opportunity to see new and developing sewer inspection technologies in person.

Visitors to POSM Booth 6730 could explore software updates, browser-based inspection management, GIS tools, and the Owl Vision 360° Manhole Camera. Additional live demonstrations were also available with Rausch USA at Booth 6729.

Previewing POSM Server 2.0

One of the major software previews at WWETT 2023 was POSM Server 2.0, which expanded centralized inspection data management with browser-based tools.

The project demonstrated how office users could search, review, and work with POSM inspection information through a web interface while continuing to use the centralized POSM Server environment.

Owl Vision 360° Manhole Inspection

WWETT visitors could also see the Owl Vision 360° Manhole Camera, providing another way to capture and document manhole condition using high-resolution imaging and POSM Manhole software.

The combination of purpose-built manhole inspection hardware and POSM software was designed to help customers collect detailed visual information while keeping manhole inspection data organized within the broader POSM workflow.

HD-Ready Inspection System Integration

POSM also highlighted its continued compatibility with a wide range of sewer inspection camera systems. As inspection hardware moved toward higher-resolution video, POSM continued expanding support for HD-ready workflows and major camera manufacturers.

Supporting multiple manufacturers gives contractors and municipalities more flexibility when choosing inspection equipment while maintaining a consistent POSM software environment.

New MapReader Online & Offline GIS Features

POSM MapReader improvements were another focus at WWETT 2023. The evolving GIS workflow provided more flexibility for crews working with online and offline mapping environments.

Connecting mapped sewer assets with inspection workflows helps reduce manual data entry, improve asset identification, and keep field inspection information aligned with the GIS systems used by engineering and asset-management teams.

Expanding Cloud, GIS & Reporting Tools

POSM also showcased the growing connection between sewer inspection data and the office systems organizations use for visualization, reporting, and infrastructure management.
