Using POSM to Grade and Prioritize Repairs
Tallahassee's technicians use POSM to capture video, map inspections, and grade pipe segments using NASSCO's 1–5 rating system. Higher grades indicate more severe defects and help the city prioritize where to send repair crews.
Grade 5 segments drive major rehabilitation work, while grades 3 and 4 guide smaller repairs that can extend asset life before serious issues develop.
