Expanding POSM Server with Browser-Based Access

POSM partnered with DelMar Software Development to create POSM 2.0, an important expansion of POSM Server that introduced browser-based tools for working with centralized sewer inspection data.

POSM 2.0 extended the POSM Server environment with a web interface, giving authorized users another way to search, review, and edit inspection information without working exclusively through the traditional desktop application.

This project marked an important step in POSM's continued development of browser-based inspection data tools, expanding access to centralized POSM Server information for office users, supervisors, engineers, and other authorized staff.

About the POSM + DelMar Partnership

Based in Lafayette, Indiana, DelMar Software Development brought extensive custom software development experience to the project. Their collaboration with POSM combined modern web-development expertise with decades of pipeline inspection and sewer inspection software experience.

The first phase of POSM 2.0 development established the foundation for browser-based access to centralized POSM inspection information and demonstrated how existing POSM workflows could be extended to a modern web interface.

Designed for Better Collaboration

Browser-based access made it easier for engineers, supervisors, quality-control staff, and other office users to work with the same centralized inspection information without requiring every user to work directly through the traditional POSM desktop interface.

Giving more authorized users access to inspection search, review, and editing tools can reduce bottlenecks, shorten review cycles, and help organizations make better use of the data collected by field inspection crews.

Building the Foundation for Future POSM Web Tools

POSM 2.0 represented an important stage in the continued development of POSM's browser-based inspection data tools.
