Welcome to the June 2023 Edition of our POSM Newsletter!

We are excited to share some remarkable updates and enhancements across our POSM software suite. Let's dive into the details:

We are thrilled to announce that the first internal beta testing of POSM 2.0, our groundbreaking browser-based version of POSM Server, has been successfully completed. In collaboration with DelMar Software Development, we have streamlined pipeline management, offering faster data access and enhanced collaboration capabilities. With support for existing templates, reviewing and sharing pipeline data has never been easier. Learn more about the remarkable features of POSM 2.0 on our website.

Our latest update brings an improved encoding engine that now supports HEVC (H265) and AV1. This means you can experience encoding and transcoding of existing sessions with superior video quality and efficiency. These video formats will play natively in all HTML5 compatible web browsers. Furthermore, our updated HTML reports for HTML 5 browsers now allow you to play videos directly within the reports, enhancing the viewing experience.

Lastly, our updated Quick Fill option from the map reader allows for the loading of all relevant information from previous sessions while updating the GIS information, giving you more control over your data.

We have made significant improvements to the POSM Manhole module.
Now, floating windows snap back to where you left them, ensuring a seamless workflow and preserving your workspace preferences.

Additionally, we have added a feature where Compass North, East, South, and West directions can be displayed below the clock position overlay, making it easier to orient yourself during inspections.

For tablet-based systems, we have introduced an on-screen keyboard option, making data input more convenient than ever before.

Furthermore, you now have the flexibility to choose between HD or 4K capture for 360 recording and processing, providing you with options that suit your specific requirements.

Please note that 4K capture requires a powerful CPU/GPU setup for optimal playback.

To further enhance your visual experience, we are updating the LED lighting of our Owl Vision Manhole Camera. These updates will deliver better color representation and eliminate hotspots, ensuring clearer and more detailed imagery.

We have also refined color correction and stitching, resulting in more accurate and impressive visuals.
